Bomaderry High School provides a range of opportunities for students to perform to not only our school audience but also the broader community.
Elective classes have the opportunity to participate in a variety of subject specific performance nights and showcase their best work at the school’s annual MADD Night (Music, Art, Dance and Drama).
Students have also delighted audiences in a variety of cafes and restaurants in the Berry/Nowra area with their HSC Music performances. Our school band and individual musicians have been in demand at a variety of events and award nights across the region to the great delight of the audience.
All our performing arts students are encouraged to maximise their engagement with an audience by performing to parents, friends and the student body at assemblies, ensemble evenings, performance nights and are also encouraged to engage in local and regional eisteddfods. Our students have performed in regional ensembles (dance and music) and Southern Stars.
The Creative and Performing Arts staff at Bomaderry High School encourage students who have an interest in performance (whether they are in an elective class or not) to be creative, take performance risks, aim for a polished performance and above all thrive on the development of a wonderful performer/audience relationship.
